o procedimento

Collages for the short movie “O Procedimento” by Ed Andrade and Larissa Bertolini (São Paulo 2019)

The film tells the story of Norman, a normative heterosexual man who builds up courage to visit a post-cosmetic clinic run by the Azagacha Collective. But this "procedure" would change his life. And Ed and Lara interspersed my collages between the scenes to create the dystopian illusion of a bizarre transformation.

tanz im august

In 2014 I created the collages for the campaign of Germany's most important contemporary dance festival, whose first edition was still in the old West Berlin. It was truly exciting to see them spread all over the city I love. I aimed to capture the emotions of dance in suggestions of unexpected and impossible movements.

arena magazine

In this fashion editorial, I had the honor of working with two great fashion professionals. The Brazilian photographer Marcelo Krasilcic shot the editorial, idealised by the stylist Nicola Formichetti.

avaf "abravanation gosmica"

I collaborated in this exhibition of the collective AVAF (Assume Vivid Astro Focus) held in 2006 at Galeria Triângulo in São Paulo. I still think about it a lot, since it is my earliest memory of working with collage as a method. I couldn't have had better mentors than Eli Sudbrack and Christophe Hamaide-Pierson.

schwuz am rollberg

This very personal piece I made to celebrate Schwuz's first anniversary after moving to a former brewery in Neukölln. For me, that's a pretty special place, as it welcomed and supported me as it does to most of the Berlin's queer community.

abravana pulo do grito

I collaborated to this interactive performance envisioned by the Brazilian artist Ricardo de Castro back in 2016 during the Virada Cultural Paulistana, a 24-hour festival that takes place all over the city of São Paulo. The fashion designer Dudu Bertholini created some highly colourful pieces of clothing with big letters on them and we asked people to wear, jump and scream in order to create short words we then posted on instagram.

claudia wonder international show

With this short movie on Brazilian LGBTQI+ icon and activist Claudia Wonder, I had a comeback at the 2011 edition of Mix Brasil, a Brazilian festival to celebrate diversity on the arts. The strength of the video emerges from the contrast between the childlike way she tells a story and the glamorous atmosphere in which she is set.
