Bioenergy in Ukraine grew by 26%

,In Ukraine, the total supply of primary energy from biofuels and waste in 2020 increased by 26% - to 4241 thousand tons of oil equivalent, while in 2019 this figure was 3349 thousand tons of oil equivalent.

---The supply of primary energy from biofuels and waste in the amount of 4241 thousand tons of oil equivalent in 2020 is equivalent to the replacement of about 5.2 billion m3 of natural gas.

---In 2020, exports of biofuels amounted to 424 thousand tons of oil equivalent (in 2019 - 442 thousand tons of oil equivalent).

---In general, the share of renewable energy sources in the total supply of primary energy in 2020 was 6.6% (in 2019 - 4.9%)
